Micro Needling: How does it work?

Jump-start collagen production and help diminish fine lines and wrinkles.

What is CIT and Microneedling and how does it work?

Microneedling is a modern treatment that uses surgical needles to target the appearance of fine lines, acne scars, and texture of the skin. CIT and Microneedling treatments have been shown to improve the body's collagen production after the procedure.

A sterile applicator is used for each patient. The sterile applicator contains 12 points that are glided along the skin to cause micro clefts. These points cause tiny micro clefts that triggers the bodies wound response, which is crucial to achieving results. Patient should expect a 90 minute appointment and should expect a 4-5 day down time.

Can I treat other areas of the body?

Yes. Patients who want to improve neck, chest, hands, legs, and thighs can benefit from CIT Microneedling.

How many treatments will I need?

The number of treatment required will highly depend on the condition we are targeting. The majority of patients will require 2-3 treatments to achieve optimal results. If you skin condition is more severe, we recommend to schedule a consultation with a healthcare provider at Peach to determine if the series of treatment will benefit you.

How long is down time from micro needling?

Patients experience little down time, with most only experiencing redness on the treated area for 2-4 days, and some patients fully healing within just 2 weeks.

How long does it take to see results from micro needling?

You’ll immediately notice a healthy “glow” to your skin, with noticeable changes appearing after a few days and continuing to improve over the next six months.

How many micro needling treatments are needed?

That depends. Some patients require just a single treatment to achieve the results they’re after, and continue to receive yearly maintenance treatments.

However, most patients will want to receive 2 or 3 treatments spaced 6-8 weeks apart for the best results. For those with particularly deep wrinkles, stretch marks or signs of photo-aging, we may recommend up to 8 treatments spaced 6 weeks apart.

Does micro needling hurt?

Micro needling feels similar to very light sandpaper being moved across your skin. While the procedure shouldn’t be painful, those with a low pain tolerance may experience some discomfort.

Because we are medical professionals we have access to topical anesthetic that is only allowed to be administered by licensed health professionals. This greatly increases comfort.
