Im young, do I really need it?

One of the great things about a filler is that it is not necessarily meant for older patients. If you are young, then a filler can help add volume to the cheek area and also to the lip area. This addition will give more shape and symmerty to your face.

Does it just fill wrinkles?

No. Juvederm can be used to fill wrinkles its are so much more. Juvederm and many others fillers can be used to plump up lips, add volume to cheeks , and even fill in acne scars.

Can I used Juvederm on my lips?

Using Juvederm to add more volume to lips is very popular. However, it is improtant to keep a few things in mind. First, you do not want to over do your lips because you will end up "sausage lips" or "trout mouth." It is extremely important that fillers add just subtle voluma that will give you a sexy look.

How long before I see the results?

Results for a Juvederm treatment are immediate. However, the final results will be seen about 1-2 weeks after the injection. We need to let the swelling go down and let the filler settle in to get a better view of the final results.

Is there bruising?

Brusing may or may not happen. We are after all, piercing the skin with the needle. We always recommend patients to stop taking any aspirin or ibuprofen because this may cause your body to bruise more easily. Remember, we can take precautions, but we cannot guarentee that you will not bruise.

How does it feel after? Will I feel lumps?

Lumps may sometimes be felt immediately afterwards. Especially if you feel very closely. These will either be massaged by your medical provider if needed or will settle in after 2 weeks. We always recommend our patients to ask as many questios if they are unsure.

How long do the results last?

Juvederm is temporary and may last up to one year with optimal treatment. Therefore, touch-up injections, as well as repeat injections, are usually needed to maintain optimal results. Less material (about half the amount) is usually needed for repeat injections.

Ultimately, the length of the results can vary from patients to patients and can also depend on which area it was injected into. At Peach we have seen patients that see results up to a year but we have also seen patients that see results up to only 6 months.
