"What is the difference between Botox and Fillers?" This is a common question from our patients at Nouveau Beauty.
Botox is a medication that is injected into the facial muscles to prevent wrinkles from forming. For example, preventing crows feet.
Fillers are substances that are injected in certain facial areas to add volume. For example, adding volume to lips is a common use. Some of the fillers that we provide at Nouveau Beauty are Restylane, Perlane, and Juvederm. Temporary fillers can last anywhere from 6 months - 2 years depending on the person and injection area.
What if a patient changes their mind? One of the benefits of choosing temporary fillers is that a simple solution called hyaluronidase is injected into the site and the fillers will be eliminated. Permanent fillers require a small incision in order to be removed.
